1971 DeTomaso Pantera

1971 De Tomaso Pantera

V8-Ford-engine with 351 in³ (5800 cm³) and 330 HP. Design by Tom Tjaarda of Ghia.

The Pantera made its deput in 1970, replacing the Mangusta. Ford imported the Pantera to the US, selling it through its Lincoln Mercury dealers. This is also the reason why this US brochure features the Lincoln Mercury badges.

What the US brochure said: "It is an ultra-high-performance sports coupé... With its combination of Ghia design, Italian craftsmanship and Ford power, the De Tomaso Pantera has to be the most impressive vehicle of its type and price range ever offered in the U.S."

Maserati Karif

1988 Maserati Karif

6-cylinder bi-turbo engine with 2790 cm³ and 285 HP, V-max 255 km/h.

The Karif was a very attractive combination of the shorter wheelbase Maserati Spyder with a fixed hardtop, resulting in very appealing two-seater sports car, not be be mixed up with the "mass production" ordinary Biturbo models on which the Karif is based. This is maybe the most collectible of Maserati's Biturbo range.
